Brief reviews of papers from ETS/SBL
I’m down in San Francisco this week attending both ETS and SBL/AAR. And, as I’ve done the last couple of years, I’ll be offering brief reviews/comments on some of the papers that I’ve attended. If you know anything about an academic conference, the real value is in what happens between papers (or, more accurately, what happens when you’re skipping papers). That’s when you get to hang out with people, catch up, and talk shop. But, since those conversations are rather difficult to summarize, I’ll stick to commenting on the papers.
Now I won’t try to comment on every paper I’ve attended. First, that would get a little tedious after a while. Second, not every paper is worth commenting on. (Picking papers to attend is a bit of an art form, and everyone misses on occasion.)
So stay tuned for more.
